Tips & Tricks For Your Next Event

The fall season is a great time to host an event. As the days get shorter, the nights get cooler, the kids are back in school, and the holidays are approaching, there’s plenty of opportunity to bring people together to support a good cause or bring safety awareness to our communities.

As you gear up for your fall and winter events, I’m Safe! would like to share a few tips and tricks that we’ve found helpful when hosting an event or launching a safety awareness campaign. First, and most importantly, the more senses you can engage – auditory, kinesthetic, visual – the more likely people are to remember your campaign or exhibit and engage in safer behavior. (We make sure all our resources are ready to catch an eye!)

Aside from having eye-catching visuals, here are a few more ideas that you can consider to best engage with your audience:

  • Social Media: Post links to your event on the leading platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter and make sure you invite people in your network to attend.
  • Partner with local organizations and businesses: Possibilities include your local YMCA, Rotary Club, Boys and Girls Clubs, Kiwanis, grocery stores and more. Ask them to invite their members/supporters/customers as well.
  • Generate A QR Code: A quick, easy way to direct people to your website. You can use this free tool to generate a QR code (or multiple) [https://www.qr-code-generator.com/] and print them on flyers for your booth.
  • Post Entertaining Signs: Make sure there are signs publicizing your event within your community – local schools, the post office, and grocery stores are all high traffic areas.
  • Launch A Raffle: Enlist the help of a local sponsor who may donate a prize for your event and then hold a raffle to find a winner. An incentive will be sure to drive more excitement!
  • Turn Heads with Eye-Catching Displays: Utilize colorful, pop-up graphics that are customized for your event and certain to draw attention. Please keep in mind you are welcome to request a sample of any I’m Safe! products that you may want to purchase for your event.
